Unsure where, but I have seen them in Woods Mill Nature Reserve, Henfield, so included here. Unmistakeable given the markings. It is small - smaller than a collared dove, only slightly larger than a blackbird. It has become a red list species, sadly.

Unsure where, but I have seen them in Woods Mill Nature Reserve, Henfield, so included here. Where I saw them, I remember that people were putting out seed on this hard standing which is their main food. The decline in population is simply because of farming messing with the amount of natural seed available for them.
